Still Life: Act/Transparency

20162017

Statement

My still-life paintings reflect urban life, capturing the relationships and events that shape our surroundings. These compositions emerge from my engagement with everyday occurrences, serving as a foundation for my artistic explorations. This approach is rooted in my childhood experiences, where play and interaction with my environment influenced my perception of space and structure.

I incorporate elements from nature, altering and integrating them into my compositions. Through processes of construction, deconstruction, and recombination—along with my personal artistic standards—I create images that exist in a state of ambiguity. My work aims to blur the boundaries between the familiar and the undefined, inviting viewers to question their perception of space, form, and narrative.
